Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs graduated 1333 young specialists of the faculty № 6 - bachelors and masters - both full-time and part-time in the following specialties: “Law”, “Law Enforcement”, “Psychology”, “Cyber Security”, “Finance, banking, and insurance”. 65 graduates received diplomas with honors.

The rector of the university, General of Police of the third rank Valerii SOKURENKO, congratulated the boys and girls on graduation. The event was attended by First Vice-Rector Dmytro Shvets, Vice-Rectors Serhii Bortnyk, Mykhailo Burdin, Leonid Mohilevskyi, Anatolii Klochko, heads of departments and chairs, parents and relatives of graduates.

The audience observed a minute of silence in memory of the heroes who died in the struggle for a free, independent Ukraine, and traditionally laid flowers at the monument to law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty.

Diplomas of higher education were awarded to graduates by the rector and vice-rectors.

Addressing the youth, Rector Valerii Sokurenko said: “Within the walls of the university you have acquired the necessary professional knowledge and skills that will help you realize your profession, but the learning process does not stop there, you need to learn all your life. The university remains your home, the door is always opened. So creatively master new knowledge, respect the glorious traditions of our higher education institution! Be worthy of your teachers, your parents. Step forward with confidence, work honestly, and serve for the benefit of the Ukrainian people! Glory to Ukraine!"

Iryna Panova, Head of the Department of Law Enforcement and Police Studies, wished the graduates good luck and professional growth on behalf of the scientific and pedagogical staff of the University.

On behalf of the graduates, Anna Shevtsova thanked the university management and staff for the knowledge and experience gained during their studies.

The festivities ended with a musical gift prepared by the amateur art team of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Work of the University and the cadet divisions of drummers and carabineers.
