Associate Professor of the Department of Criminal Procedure and Pre-Trial Investigation of the Faculty № 1 Police Major Olena Zavorina took part in a training on "Trial Monitoring and Advocacy for Child-friendly Justice", which was held with the assistance of the OSCE Project Coordinator in Ukraine in Dnipropetrovsk region. The event was attended by employees of the Secretariat of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Commissioner for Human Rights, representatives of public human rights organizations, the educational community, judges, lawyers, representatives of children's rights.
During the training, international acts were examined, which defined international standards of child-friendly justice, revealed the international principles of child-friendly justice, discussed the situation of implementation of these principles in the legal system of Ukraine. During the three days, the participants gained theoretical knowledge and got acquainted with the methodology of monitoring child-friendly justice.
