Polina Suslova, a 1st year cadet of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, a participant in the School of Scientific Leadership of the faculty №1, took part in an international youth exchange under the Erasmus + program for participants from Ukraine, Moldova, Romania and Spain on Empowering Youth Participation through Volunteering.
The event took place in the town of Pustomyty, Lviv region. The aim of the project was to promote the active civic position of young people by ensuring deeper and meaningful participation in public life and volunteering. Program participants attended sessions on the basic personal qualities of a volunteer, the challenges faced by volunteers around the world, as well as innovative ideas, solutions and social projects that can be successfully implemented in everyday volunteering.
Upon completion of the program, the cadet received a European Youthpass certificate. Polina Suslova will implement the knowledge gained during volunteer work in an animal shelter, search for missing people, assistance to veterans of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, environmental actions and participation in patrols of integrity of the Center for Social Projects of the School of Scientific Leadership of Faculty 1 of KhNUIA.
