The eighth ethno-gastro festival "Borshchyk in a clay pot" took place in the town of Opishnya, Poltava region. Traditionally, the head of the cycle commission of Kremenchuk Flight College Oksana Savchenko took part in the event. She held five tastings of borscht as a festival administrator, which were prepared by the hosts and treated guests. Choirs of Poltava, Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions also performed during the event. Master classes were held on the creation of a motanka doll, Petrykivka painting, wickerwork, baking of live bread, wedding loaves, wedding ceremonial cookies, Velykobychkivsky honey cake, which is baked only in Transcarpathia.
Such events are aimed at preserving and educating the culture of traditional Ukrainian food, encourage research into the history of the family, traditions and customs of the Ukrainian people. During classes with cadets and students, Oksana Savchenko will share with young people her knowledge of Ukrainian culture, traditions and customs.
