On the eve of the new academic year, a regular meeting of the Academic Council of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs took place. Issues related to the
results of enrollment in higher education in 2021, the readiness of the University for the beginning of the new academic year, the work of academic councils of the
University, organizational and personnel issues were considered. The event was attended by the Rector of the University, Corresponding Member of the National
Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Law, Professor Valerii Sokurenko; Academician of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Law, Professor Oleksandr Bandurka; First Vice-Rector, Doctor of Law, Associate Professor Dmytro Shvets; Vice-Rectors, Doctor of Law, Associate Professor Serhii Bortnyk, Doctor of Law, Professor Mykhailo Burdin; Doctor of Law, Professor Anatolii Klochko; scientific and pedagogical staff of the University.
At the beginning of the meeting, the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Police were awarded for exemplary performance of official duties, personal initiative and dedication. Police Colonel Olha Bezpalova, Head of the Department of Police Activity and Public Administration of the Faculty № 3, was awarded the badge "Best Employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine" with a photo on the Board of Honor of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
Lieutenant Colonel of Police Ivan Pavlenko, Head of the Department of Work with Variable Staff of the Personnel Department, was awarded a diploma of the
Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
The diploma of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine was received by the captain of police Serhii Ablamskyi, the Head of Department of the scientific activity organization and protection of intellectual property.
The diploma of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine was given to Oksana Tsukan, Advisor to the Rector on Gender Issues of the Department of Organizational and Analytical Work and Control.
Police Colonel Serhiy Bortnyk, Vice-Rector of the University, was awarded the Veteran of Service medal of the National Police of Ukraine.
The awards of the National Police of Ukraine - medals "10 Years of Conscientious Service" were awarded to Major of Police Mykhailo Kaliuzhnyi, Senior Lecturer
of the Department of Tactical and Special Physical Training of the Faculty № 3; Major of Police Oleksandr Sokolov, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Tactical
and Special Physical Training of the Faculty № 3; senior police lieutenant Kateryna Barbina, a leading specialist of the Department of Organizational and Analytical Work and Control.
Special ranks of the police were awarded: "police captain" to senior police lieutenant Olena Sashurina, a leading specialist of the service organization department; "senior police lieutenant" to police lieutenant Denys Kotliar, a specialist of the faculty № 5.
Also on the basis of the decision of the attestation board of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine was awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in the field of knowledge 05 "Social and Behavioral Sciences" in specialty 053 "Psychology": Liudmila Drozdova, Kateryna Maravska, Natalia Tverdokhlebova.

Stanislav Pevko and Ivan Solonetskyi were awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in the field of knowledge 08 "Law" in the specialty 081 "Law".
The academic title was awarded to:
- Yulia Kyrychenko - Professor at the Department of Legal Support of Economic Activity;
- Alina Chorna - Professor at the Department of Legal Support of Economic Activity;
- Andrii Shulha - Professor at the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology;
- Olena Makarova - Associate Professor at the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology;
- Yulia Tverdokhvalova - Associate Professor at the Department of Sociology and Psychology.
The rector of the University, General of Police of the third rank Valerii Sokurenko presented awards, diplomas and certificates to the university staff.
