On the Day of Defenders of Ukraine, the university staff, employees and cadets laid flowers at the memorial plaque of Dmytro Pruglo, installed in the museum of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. Dmytro Pruglo studied at the Faculty № 1 and graduated in 2012.
A native from Poltava region, he took part in many battles, showing his courage and professionalism. He died on the night of June 7, 2019 as a result of targeted artillery shelling of 122 mm and 120 mm mortars near the village of Novoluganske on the Svetlodarska arch. He was 28 years old.
On June 25, 2021, a memorial plaque in honor of Dmitry Prugl was unveiled at the university. It is a tribute of respect and eternal memory to all those who sacrificed their lives for peace and freedom on Ukrainian soil.
