Rector of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs Valerii Sokurenko, Vice-Rectors Serhii Bortnyk and Anatolii Klochko together with a representative of the Health Department of Kharkiv Regional State Administration Viktor Shaposhnyk met with university students. The issues of prevention and implementation of precautionary measures to counteract the spread of coronavirus infection were discussed.
The number of patients with COVID-19 is growing daily. The Ministry of Health reports that the number of new cases in Ukraine has increased by 6,000 and the number of hospitalizations by 1,500 over the past week. The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted amendments to the current Resolution № 1236, which establish new quarantine restrictions to prevent the spread of COVID-19. According to Health Minister Viktor Liashko, the proposed changes will provide an opportunity to curb the epidemic situation and maintain economic activity in the country. Today, everyone has the opportunity to be vaccinated and protected, and the available vaccine is enough for that. "Weekly supply of vaccines until the end of this year have been determined. We have even allowed which vaccine to be vaccinated, which is not the case in most countries," said the Minister of Health.
In particular, the approved changes stipulate that the COVID certificate will have two options ("yellow" or "green") and will contain information about vaccination, a negative test result (valid for 72 hours) or recovery from COVID-19. The so-called "yellow" certificate will have information about the first vaccination, and the "green" - about the full course.
In the case of the introduction of the yellow level of epidemic danger, the requirements for the work of educational institutions are simplified. They will work if there are at least 80% of employees with "yellow" or "green" COVID-certificates.
At the same time, the restrictions on the yellow level of epidemiological danger will not apply if all participants (visitors) and at least 80% of organizers of mass events, employees of cinemas, theaters, museums or other cultural institutions, gyms and swimming pools have a "yellow" or "green" COVID certificate.
In the event of a red level of epidemic danger, educational institutions will work only if 100% of employees have a "green" COVID-certificate.
According to the rector of the university Valerii Sokurenko, for educational institutions vaccination of the team is a necessary measure that will ensure a quality educational process. Almost 80% of university employees have been vaccinated, vaccinations of university cadets are underway. To date, this is the most effective way to maintain your own health and the health of others. Do not lose the importance of personal protective equipment - wearing masks, keeping distance and rules of personal hygiene.
During the conversation with students, Victor Shaposhnyk acquainted the audience with the features of coronavirus infection, how it affects the human body, told about the features of vaccines that Ukrainians are vaccinated, and the benefits of vaccination, citing the results of statistics. He also answered questions from the audience.
