The Debate Club of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs conducted a practical training "Debate as a tool for the development of critical thinking." The event was held at the Science Park ''Science and Security'' with the assistance of Oksana Tsukan, Advisor to the Rector on Gender Issues.

The head of the Debate Club Nataliia Rastorhueva presented the format and basic rules of the debate tournaments. The speaker of the event was a graduate of the Ukrainian Academy of Leadership, developer of his own course on debates, projects in the field of youth leadership, coach on leadership and communication Petro Sitek.

Within the training, its participants expanded their knowledge of participating in a debate tournament; received another tool for the development of critical thinking; expanded their knowledge of the practical possibilities of using debate technology in the educational space; improved their own ability to persuade and defend the position through argumentation.
