An integrated lesson in the discipline "Peculiarities of Practical Law" was held for law students of Sumy branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs on the basis of the Regional Center for Free Secondary Legal Aid.

Applicants for higher education together with Maryna Vasylenko, an Associate Professor of the Department of Legal Disciplines, got acquainted with the work of the departments as well as with the project "Recovery Program for Juveniles Suspected of Committing a Criminal Offense."

During the meeting the director of the Regional Center Olena Demchenko noted that future lawyers have a good opportunity to get acquainted with the free legal aid system in Ukraine as a whole and to see how lawyers work, what services they provide to clients and specifics of their work.

Deputy Director Valentyna Volobuieva explained to educators what types of legal aid citizens may receive in the centers and offices, how lawyers who work at Free Secondary Legal Aid Centers cooperate with their clients.

Particular attention was paid to the project "Recovery Program for Juveniles Suspected of Committing a Criminal Offense." Future lawyers learned about the conditions of participation of the parties in the program, who they are for, what their purpose is and what consequences are for a juvenile offender.

Such practice-oriented classes are useful for future legal professionals as teach to understand the peculiarities of legal activity.
