The representatives of the Debate Club of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs took part in the debate tournament for beginners “Inception”. The event was held on the basis of Yaroslav Mudyi National Law University. The tournament consisted of two qualifying rounds, a semifinal and a final, during which each team had the opportunity to demonstrate their professional knowledge and public speaking skills on various topics, such as patriotism, recolonization, the introduction of the presumption of guilt for sexual offenses.

During the intellectual game, cadets and students of the Debate Club of KhNUIA improved their skills of analytics and critical thinking, demonstrated the ability to express their own position, gained experience in participating in discussions through analysis and discussion of current legal issues.

According to the results of the speeches, the participant of the Debate Club of KhNUIA Vladyslav Baler received a personal award of the top speaker of the tournament. The evaluation criteria included: logic, content, public speaking skills, ability to present arguments and counterarguments.
