Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs has launched a series of instructional and preventive classes on compliance with traffic rules for the university staff and applicants for higher education who drive vehicles.

The classes were attended by the Vice-Rector of the University Anatolii Klochko, employees of the Patrol Police Department in Kharkiv Region of the Patrol Police Department, Special Inspector Captain Yevhen Vedmeder and Senior Special Inspector of the Public Relations Department of Senior Police Lieutenant Andrii Sikalenko.

Addressing the audience, Anatolii Klochko stressed the observance of discipline and legality, transport discipline, gave examples of emergencies and their consequences with the participation of police officers. He reiterated that ignorance or non-compliance with traffic rules, incorrect assessment of the traffic situation, speeding or driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs leads to tragic consequences.

Representatives of the Patrol Police Department in Kharkiv Region of the Patrol Police Department informed the audience about statistical information on road accidents in Ukraine and Kharkiv region.
