The Department of Ukrainian Studies of the Faculty No. 2 of KhNUIA held an on-site meeting of the scientific group on the topic "Slobozhanshchina in names and dates. Hryhorii Skovoroda" in Skovorodynivka village. The event was supported by the trade union of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs.

The tour is an interesting and always relevant form of scientific work, which has significant advantages over classroom classes and is highly effective.

The purpose of the meeting was to get acquainted with the real cultural wealth that begins with the native land and hometown. National Literary and Memorial Museum of Hryhorii Skovoroda is a real pearl of Kharkiv region. In the manor, where the museum is now located, Hryhorii Skovoroda spent the last days of his life. Only here are stored personal belongings of the philosopher: a silver English clock with his gift inscription for Stefan Hrechina; the Pravytski's violin, where the philosopher played while in Babai; the Kovalivski's trunk; copies of personal heds, the originals of which burned during the fire of 1943. The museum has 18th century items, paintings depicting a tireless traveler. On the territory of the estate you can cling to the tomb of the philosopher, see the oak under which he liked to work.

The members of the group noted that  Skovorodynivka has a completely different atmosphere and time is different. Thebasic principles of his philosophy become clearer in the ideas, why instead of family comfort Hryhorii Skovoroda chose constant wandering and loneliness, while considering himself an incredibly happy person.
