The School of Scientific Leadership of the Faculty №1 of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs as a member of the Civic Education Network held an international online meeting “Pearls of scientific, creative, international, public work of cadets of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs” as part of Civil Education Week. The event is organized by a consortium of organizations and experts that are members of the Eastern European Civic Education Network (EENCE) and administered by the Eastern European Civic Education Association. The Civic Education Week is supported by the Federal Agency for Civic Education (Bundeszentrale für politische Bildung) and the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The event was opened by the national coordinator of the Civic Education Week 2021 in Ukraine Nazarii Boiarskyi and wished the participants a fruitful discussion. Vitalii Naida, the Head of the School of Scientific Leadership, emphasized the observance of the regulations and noted that scientific activity at Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs is considered in many ways, including through the prism of public activity.
School participants, 2nd year cadets of the Faculty №1 Polina Suslova, Vladyslava Balera, Yulia Shelest, Krystyna Koval told about the public work of the School of Scientific Leadership, about participation in non-formal education, webinars, programs, creative and international activities.
Svitlana Voznesenska, the Chairman of the Board of the Healthy Nation Movement, shared with the audience the experience of organizing large-scale projects in the field of drug prevention among young people and cooperation with the School of Scientific Leadership.
Social psychologist, activist, lecturer from Belarus Oleksandr Yerhulevych, who was an active participant in the Revolution of Dignity in Ukraine and the revolutionary events of August 2020 in Belarus, dedicated his speech to building trust between civil society and law enforcement, issues of polarization of society and the excesses of political struggle also the problems of building a civil society in Belarus.
Nataliia Nezhyna and Yulia Yampolska – volunteers, coordinators of the search team for the search for missing people “LisaAlert”, in their joint speech focused on key areas, the results of the team and cooperation with the School of Scientific Leadership.
