Krystyna Koval, the 2nd year cadet of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, a participant of the School of Scientific Leadership, took an online course in Ayn Rand philosophy “Objectivist Thought Leader Program” from the Ayn Rand Center in Ukraine.
Lectures were given in English by philosophers from Ukraine, the USA and Germany: Ayn Rand Center Regional Development Director in Ukraine, co-founder and chairman of Ukrainian Students for Freedom Daniil Lubkin, Ayn Rand Center Europe Project Manager (Serbia), ARC Europe lecturer Dzhordzhi Manchev.
During the lectures, participants were introduced to a brief history of ancient philosophy, gained systematic knowledge of Aristotle's metaphysics, epistemology, ethics and politics, and explored the relationship between Aristotle's philosophy and Ayn Rand's philosophy. Also during TED TALKS, the cadet got acquainted with such topics as “Anti-globalism as a threat to progress and civilizations”, “Ayn Rand's views on nature and the power of art”, “Philosophy of pure mind or how to self-realize in post-Soviet society”.
After the intensive, participants had the opportunity to meet the philosopher Leonard Peikof and ask him questions about the life and work of Ayn Rand.
