Cooperation of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs with colleagues of the Czech Republic continues. As part of the project “Cooperation in Security Development with Ukraine 2020” the University was visited by the Coordinator of International Education of the Department of International Education of the Police Education and Training of the Czech Republic Lt. Col. Police Miroslav Kortan, Adviser to the Criminal Police and Investigation Service of the Czech Republic Lt. Col. Police  Martina Petrovicova and Lecturer of Department of Police and Service Education of Czech Republic Police Captain Jana Chmelova. The purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with the state of implementation of one of the best practices of interrogation of extremely vulnerable persons in the educational process at Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs.

The first Vice-Rector of the university, Police Colonel Dmytro Shvets, the Vice-Rector Leonid Mohilevskyi and the Head of the Department of International Cooperation Olena Ustymenko met with the representatives of the Czech Republic.

The university has been cooperating with Czech colleagues since 2019 on the implementation of the project “Cooperation in the field of security development with Ukraine 2020”. It was attended by the Professor of the Department of Law-enforcement Intelligence operations and crimes solution of the Faculty №2 KhNUIA Police Major Mykola Stashchak, Associate Professor of the Department of Criminalistics, Forensic Expertology and Pre-Medical Training of the Faculty №1 Police Lieutenant Colonel Tetiana Matiushkova, lecturer of the same department Vladlena Prykhodko, Associate Professor of the Department of Administrative Law and Procedure of Faculty № 1 Police Lieutenant Colonel Oleksandr Pabat (http://univd.edu.ua/uk/news/5849).

As part of this project, the university received sets of special demonstration dolls for use in the educational process during training sessions on the tactics of interrogation of juvenile victims and witnesses, people with disabilities and others in an extremely vulnerable state. The set consists of six dolls, namely – three pairs of people: a girl-boy, a woman-man, grandparents – which are made of soft materials and have the appropriate anatomical features of male or female gender. Dolls are actively used in the educational process in conducting classes in the disciplines of “Criminology”, “Workshop on tactics of certain investigative actions”, “Methods of investigating certain types of crimes”
