Teacher of the cycle commission of aircraft maintenance, specialist of the highest category, methodologist Valentyna Syvolozhska conducted a binary lesson on the subject "Corrosion of materials" for the 4th year cadets. The topic of the lesson is "Corrosion-resistant and heat-resistant construction materials". The reaction of metals and alloys in aggressive chemical environments was considered. Volodymyr Sych, the head of the fuel and lubricants service at Velyka Kokhnivka airfield, took part at the lesson.

The cadets got acquainted with a variety of physical and chemical processes that require an expanded range of construction materials in chemical engineering. At the end of the lesson, Volodymyr Sych answered numerous questions from the cadets regarding the chemical resistance of metals in gases at high temperatures, the stability of metals in electrolytes and the thermodynamic possibility of electrochemical corrosion.
