Nataliia Filipska, a senior lecturer of the Department of Constitutional and International Law, Faculty No. 4, Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, Candidate of Legal Sciences, took part in two-day trainings for the police of the preventive sector of the MDNP in Luhansk region on the topic "Counteracting the violation and protection of the rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of people by disability in policing and ethics of communication with them. The trainings took place in Sviatohirsk of Donetsk Region. Approximately 80 people (4 groups) received information about people with disabilities, the legal status of this category of citizens, international acts in the field of protection of their rights and freedoms, the experience of other countries in the interaction of police and people with disabilities. Various characteristics of nosology and features of communication with a person who has various health defects were provided.

The participants developed skills and general approaches to communication with various subcategories of people who have persistent health disorders (physical, mental, sensory impairments) during the practical tasks and exercises.

This is the second stage of training for the police in the preventive sector, which took place within the United Nations Recovery and Peacebuilding Programme (UN RPP) with the financial support of the European Union (EU), the Governments of Denmark, Sweden and Switzerland.
