Vira Siora, a teacher of the cycle commission of philological disciplines of Kremenchuk Flight College of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, took part in the All-Ukrainian online seminar "Media literacy as a component of information and digital competence of a teacher" and passed advanced training by type of "seminar"(remotely).

Today, the media space is an integral part of everyone's life, and we are consumers and creators of content and various information on the network. Along with educational materials, entertainment, useful information and memes, fakes, manipulations, and data collection are spreading through the network. In such conditions, it becomes clear that the ability to critically perceive information and process it is one of the main relevant skills today.

The participants of the webinar gained theoretical knowledge, as well as practical skills; mastered the components of infomedia literacy in the modern world; main ways to effectively receive, filter and verify information in the media and social networks; received theoretical and practical knowledge on the introduction of media literacy in the educational process. They got acquainted with practices and tools for the development of information and media literacy skills; discussed the problems and prospects for the introduction of information literacy in the educational process.

The obtained theoretical knowledge and practical skills will help to raise the professional level and will be used by the teacher during the educational process.
