On the eve of the International Day for the Protection of Information, Oksana Husarova, a lecturer at Kremenchuk Flight College of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, conducted a scientific seminar "Information Security, Real and Potential Threats in Cyberspace" for members of the scientific circle "The use of information technology to solve professional problems."

The teacher paid attention to the participants that the development of information technology has both positive and negative sides. Not only the well-being but sometimes the lives of many people depend on the degree of security of information technologies. Almost everyone is a user of the Internet, so the issue of information security is relevant in today's world.

During the seminar, scientific reports were made by applicants for education: cadet Marharyta Kaptsevych on the topic "Information Security", cadet Oleksandra Samoilenko - "Information security or cybersecurity… What's the difference?", cadet Artem Korytskyi - "The main threats to the use of computer networks for users", cadet Maxym Zviahintsev "What is "social engineering" and what role it plays in the information security system", cadet Maxym Riabukha "Spyware".

As a result of the presentations, a discussion was held on the issues outlined in the reports with the involvement of other participants of the seminar. At the end of the event, its participants together compiled a checklist "Rules for safe work on the Internet."
