Within the framework of the All-Ukrainian action "16 days against violence" cadets of the 2-3 years of the faculty № 3 of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, studying in "Psychology (Juvenile Prevention Psychologist)", together with the staff of juvenile prevention in Kharkiv took part in holding a number of joint information events in Kharkiv schools. The aim of the event is to draw public attention to the problems of overcoming domestic violence, to children who have witnessed domestic violence, child abuse, including with the participation of children, and bullying. The events were aimed at conducting informational and educational work among students of educational institutions.
The main goal of the action is to raise awareness among teenagers about domestic violence and methods of overcoming this negative phenomenon. During the event, students were explained how to respond to domestic violence and provided contact details of services that assist victims of violence.
The topic of bullying and responsibility for its commission, as well as the issue of safe use of the Internet and social networks were considered separately. During meetings with students, law enforcement officers always stressed that in the case of a situation of violence, which they witnessed or became a victim of, it is necessary to immediately report it to the relevant services. If you keep such information to yourself and do not tell anyone, domestic violence can become systematic and lead to serious consequences.
