The International Day of Persons with Disabilities, established by the UN General Assembly in 1992, is celebrated annually on 3 December. It is not a holiday, but it is to draw attention to the problem of people with disabilities, protect their rights, dignity and well-being, it is a reminder to humanity of the duty of everyone to show care and mercy to the most vulnerable part of society – people with disabilities (http://univd.edu.ua/uk/news/11575).
