Festive events on the occasion of St. Mykolai Day took place at Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. They were attended by cadets, university students, lyceum students, schoolchildren and university staff.
First Vice-Rector of the University Dmytro Shvets on behalf of the Rector, Police General of the Third Rank Valerii Sokurenko greeted all present and noted that, celebrating together, we unite around Ukrainian traditions, cultivate respect for the values of our people, their customs and our Motherland.
The amateur art groups of the university and faculties prepared a theatrical New Year and Christmas composition for the audience. Participants of amateur performances performed creative acts and sang well-known and favourite Ukrainian songs.
An introductory tour of the university was conducted for students of schools, lyceums, their teachers and parents. Prospective entrants visited training grounds, shooting range, auditoriums, museum, multifunctional complex "Dynamo-Arena". Students also received informative products - booklets, leaflets, newspapers - with detailed information about universities, faculties and specialties.
