Christmas is one of the greatest holidays celebrated by all Christian churches. Jesus Christ was born on this day in Bethlehem from the Virgin Mary. The main attributes of the holiday are Christmas songs, poems and carols glorifying the birth of Christ. January 6 is the eve of Christmas or Holy Evening. During the caroling, the carolers praise the host, the hostess, their children and wish that the house was rich, "that in the field lushly, and in the stockyard fruitfully, in the apiary planty". It was believed that the more carolers visit the house, the more generous the year will be for the family.
