Solemn events devoted for the 30th anniversary of the Chernobyl accident, as well as competitions on fire-applied sport, took place.

Participants - representatives of the institution, constant and variable staff of KHNUIA, sports teams, and students of initial training have gathered at a large parade ground. Fire and rescue equipment, ladders, tankers, rescue vehicle etc were also located at parade ground.

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Chernobyl accident workers of the University, who participated in and affected by the liquidation of the accident, have received awards of MIA of Ukraine certificates from the chairman of the Kharkiv regional council, certificates from the mayor of Kharkiv, diplomas Ukrainian association "Chernobyl" of Ukraine in Kharkiv region, as well as the remuneration of KHNUIA.
