Representatives of Kremenchuk Flight College of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs Marina Petchenko, Candidate of Economic Affairs responsible for gender issues, Researchers of the Department of Organization of Scientific Work and Gender Issues, Candidate of Technical Sciences Vadym Orel, Candidate of Economic Affairs Olha Hlazunova conducted a scientific seminar-debate on the topic "Science - a platform of unity and equality", dedicated to the Day of Unity and the International Day of Women and Girls in Science.

The purpose of the scientific seminar-debate is unity in science on the way to realization of strategic tasks of Ukraine's progressive development, raising awareness of women's contribution to the development of science and technology, overcoming existing stereotypes in science, finding tools to unite the Ukrainian nation on a scientific platform.

The event was attended by representatives of structural units, cycle commissions, applicants for higher education, future entrants.

During the scientific seminar-debate the following issues were discussed: science as a factor of nation unity; the place and role of women in the history of Ukrainian and world science; existing stereotypes in science and modern ways to solve them; finding ways to unite the efforts of men and women in the implementation of strategic and tactical objectives of scientific and innovative activities in Ukraine.

The participants of the event took an active part in the discussion of issues.
