The online event for the Day of Unity “Bridge of Unity – Ukraine United” was held with the participation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, Odessa State University of Internal Affairs and Lviv State University of Internal Affairs. Communication took place in several locations. Representatives of all departments of higher education institutions, including the separate ones – Sumy Branch and Kremenchuk Flight College of KhNUIA, Law Enforcement Lyceum “Pravookhoronets”, Kherson Department of OSUIA and Odessa Center of the Primary Professional Training “Police Academy”, communicated and exchanged opinions on support of the state and consolidation of society.

The event was opened by the Rector of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, corresponding member of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Legal Sciences, Professor, Honored Lawyer of Ukraine, Police General of the Third Rank Valerii Sokurenko.

The first Deputy Director of the Department of Personnel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Police Colonel Anton Syzonenko addressed the attendees. He noted that the topic of the association is extremely important for Ukrainians. Now it is time to unite all, because today the most important thing is to protect our borders, preserve the state, demonstrate to the whole world that we are United, as never before.

Rector of Odessa State University of Internal Affairs, corresponding member of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Legal Sciences, Professor, Honored Science and Technology Worker of Ukraine Serhii Kuznetsov stressed that consolidation, cohesion, integrity and indivisibility are extremely important for strengthening the national-patriotic mood of the population. And today’s event demonstrates unity, common vision of the future, readiness to fulfill the civil and constitutional duty to protect Ukraine’s national interests, integrity and independence.

Temporary acting Rector of Lviv State University of Internal Affairs Candidate of Law, Associate Professor Marian Hurkovskyi stressed that we, Ukrainians, live in our single sovereign state, in peace and accord, being one family. Our faith in Ukraine is strong, and we strive to live peacefully on our land.

During the event, many poems were heard not only by famous Ukrainian masters of words. Their poetic thoughts about beauty and love to the native land shared with the present young men and girls.

Summing up the results of the online forum, Rector of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs Valerii Sokurenko assured that Kharkiv stands firmly on the protection of territorial integrity and independence of Ukraine and is ready to fulfill all tasks set by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the leadership of the state.
