With the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, Ukrainians were not left alone with their plight. Many countries, volunteer organizations help our state and citizens in various areas. The Fortune Clinical Foundation of Alabama, USA purchased the necessary medicines for employees of the Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, members of their families and veterans.

This assistance was timely and saving for the families of our colleagues. For the family of one of the employees of the university, medicines were bought for the son - a disabled person of the 2nd group and his parents, who suffer from arterial hypertension. Assistance was also provided to the father of a university employee who had recently suffered a myocardial infarction. The medicine was handed over to an employee who is being treated for bronchial asthma. A family with a child who needs monthly injections of the drug, which costs about a thousand dollars, was given several doses of the drug for the near future.

Significant support was provided to the family of one of the university employees, whose child has allergies, and to a couple who are insulin-dependent and need comprehensive treatment for comorbidities. In addition to diseases that always require significant funds to treat, there are families who have been left homeless as a result of the bombings. And such examples are not uncommon. Moreover, they, unfortunately, turned out to be typical. People are forced to spend significant funds on the treatment of long-term illnesses, severe chronic diseases, post-infarction and post-stroke conditions, oncology, etc. on a regular basis. They also received help that was timely and important to them, and in many cases vital.

The management and the staff of the university are grateful to the USA citizens and the management of the Fortuna Clinical Foundation, who did not remain indifferent and reached out a helping hand in a difficult time for Ukrainians. Together we can overcome any adversity. We will win!
