The ability to move freely is extremely important for every person, even in peacetime, and in wartime, it becomes critical. This applies to both healthy and able-bodied people, and elderly people, and, especially, people with disabilities. On the initiative of the rector of the Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs Valery Sokurenko, bicycles, medical scooters with an electric motor, wheelchairs and walkers, were transferred to university employees and their families. The humanitarian aid arrived from the German people through the Ruricher Hilfswerk-OST e.V organization with the personal assistance of Aleta Weber and Solomiya Rozhko. This humanitarian project was implemented with the direct assistance of Oleksii Serdyuk (Head of the Research Laboratory for Psychological Support of Law Enforcement), Iryna Scherbakova (Head of the Public Relations Department), Mykola Pakhnin (Head of the Ukrainian-Polish Development Center), Viktor Vasylenko (Dean of Faculty No. 5). University employees already go to work on bicycles, veterans move on medical scooters with an electric motor, disabled people use wheelchairs and walkers. In this difficult time for the state, we are working together to bring our victory closer and support people who have experienced difficulties in their movement!
