Today, August 19, is the Day of Mourning in Kharkov as a sign of mourning for those who died as a result of powerful shelling carried out by the troops of the Russian Federation on August 17 and 18. The State Flag of Ukraine with a black ribbon is flown at half mast on the buildings and structures of Kharkiv. Every day Kharkiv suffers from rocket and artillery attacks that destroy our hometown and claim the lives of Kharkiv residents. The staff of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, together with everyone else, honors their memory and bows their heads.
