Deputy Head of the research laboratory of the problems of crime prevention of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs colonel of police Oleksii Serdiuk took part in the XVII Annual Colloquium on Transnational Crime, held in the city of Newcastle (UK) from 26 to 28 June 2016.

Oleksii Serdiuk together with the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Anglia Ruskin University, Head of Master of Criminology, Dr. Anna Markowski prepared a report "How to rob his own bank: achievement Ukrainian banking industry."

Each year the Colloquium is held at the university in Europe, so the supervisor colloquium Professor Petrus Van Dine was asked in 2018 to hold a colloquium at Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, and professor agreed. Conducting of scientific communication will contribute to promoting international relations Ukrainian and foreign scientists. Professor Petrus Van Dine has also offered HNUVS scientists to conduct a joint study aimed at studying crime statistics and harmonization of criminological information for integrating data from different European countries.
