Representatives of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs took part in a two-day international congress dedicated to the current activities of the EU countries and their responses to the challenges that arose due to the war in our country. Representatives of academic community and experts from leading institutions of higher education, political circles and educational organizations of Ukraine and EU countries took part in the virtual session. During the first and second panel sessions, geopolitical roles, connections, and political-economic influence were considered using the example of individual European countries and the research of top experts in these fields; the future of Europe was discussed, in particular, the expansion of its borders by accepting new members. 

Liliana Rodríguez, a former member of the European Parliament, a professor at the University of Madeira, reported on transport sanctions and sanctions against individual citizens of the Russian Federation, protection of foreign migrants in her country, the delivery of aid to Ukraine, criteria for joining the EU and comprehensive support on this path from Portugal.

Representatives of the Erasmus+ office in Ukraine Svitlana Shitikova and Petro Krainik informed about the specifics of the implementation of Jean Monnet projects during military actions, the quality of project obligations and the importance of achieving the final tasks of the projects, the general situation surrounding the project activities, etc.

KhNUIA Assistant to the rector for gender issues, candidate of legal sciences, associate professor Oksana Tsukan presented during the session a new project of the Erasmus+ Program, initiated by the university cadets: "Traffic light of EU policy: gender, rights, migration and digitalization" (GeRiMiD). She outlined the long-term and short-term goals of the project and its impact on domestic Ukrainian and European digitalization processes during migration processes.

The second day of the Congress became a practical part for the participants of the event, who listened to the Training session on the Internalization of research, namely: program opportunities during the war, stages of project activity and direct project activity of the Association.

During the plenary session, the president of the UAE Oksana Golovko-Gavrysheva presented the annual report on the main activities of the Association.

New members were also accepted, including representatives of the university and structural units: Associate Professor of the Department of Social and Economic Sciences, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Maryna Petchenko, Head of the Department of Social and Economic Disciplines of KhNUIA Sumy Branch, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Olena Lukyanikhina, professor of the Department of Legal Disciplines of KhNUIA Sumy Branch, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Nataliya Horobets, Associate Professor of the Department of Legal Disciplines of KhNUIA Sumy Branch, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Yana Sadikova.
