Another elective class of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs Scientific Leadership School
on ''Gender, migration and digitalization'' (using the Jean Monet program as an example) topic was
held by Oksana Tsukan, Assistant to the Rector on Gender Issues.
Representatives of each university departments, cadets, students, master's students, graduate
students and adjuncts took an active part in the meeting both offline and online.
During the class, Oksana Tsukan, through the prism of her many years’ experience in public activities and the implementation of large-scale international programs, told the students about the educational programs of the European Union – the Jean Monet program. Its goal is to activate the European integration discourse, promote the excellence of European integration studies, involve higher education institutions in the research of European integration processes and spread the ideas of a united Europe.
Oksana Tsukan also spoke about the project “EU policy traffic light: gender, rights, migration and
digitalization” (GeRiMiD) Erasmus+ program under the direction of Jean Monnet which implementation in the university became a significant progressive step and had strategic consequences in the form of an opportunities set for education applicants and university employees.
The speaker paid special attention to digitization, in which Ukraine occupies a worthy place at the pan-European and international level. Oksana Tsukan focused young scientists’ attention on such promising areas of research as information catboats, electronic platforms, automated profile and security checks, unmanned border monitoring, etc. In addition, students actively participated in discussion of various problematic issues in the field of gender equality, asked questions and defended different points of view. At the end of the meeting, School participants took part in the online survey ''Digitalization through the prism of gender and rights'' within the framework of the project “EU policy traffic light: gender, rights, migration and digitalization” (GeRiMiD) in order to monitor and improve awareness in the field of gender and digitalization.

The head of KhNUIA Scientific Leadership School – Vitalii Naida drew students’ attention to the fundamental of digitalization issues importance, gender equality and international opportunities in comprehensive personality development. Vitaly Naida also urged cadets and students to monitor international opportunities for young people actively, to propose their own ideas and implement them into own social projects.
