The kick-off meeting of the International Research Consortium on the project "Children-Online", which is implemented within the framework of the SafeOnline program, took place in the city of Krakow. KhNUIA was presented by the Head of the Research laboratory for social and psychological support, assistance and rehabilitation of employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the ERI No. 3 Oleksii Serdiuk (project coordinator on the Ukrainian Part).

The project “Children Online” is coordinated by the International Policing and Public Protection Research Institute IPPPRI (Great Britain) in cooperation with the Ukrainian Scientific and Methodological Center for Practical Psychology and Social Work of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (psychological service).

The project is aimed at studying the behavior of children on the Internet during the war between Ukraine and Russia. Project participants will be able to expand the evidence base on violence against children in social networks and improve the organizational and analytical support of Ukrainian services that counteract this phenomenon. The program is implemented as an independent research module of the Ukrainian Longitudinal Study (ULS), which the National Institute of Policing and Public Protection has been conducting since 2019 as part of the International Research Consortium.

During the meeting, key aspects of the project implementation were discussed:

• research methodology;

• measurement tools;

• work packages and expected results;

• administrative and financial management.

It was agreed to sign a Declaration of Cooperation between KhNUIA and Anglia Ruskin University (Great Britain), a structural unit of which is the IPPPRI project coordinator.

Participation in such initiatives contributes to strengthening the scientific potential of the university and the integration of Ukraine into the global scientific space.  https://univd.edu.ua/uk/news/21991
