Senior Lecturer of the Department of Special Physical Training of ERI No.2, a combat veteran Oleksandr HOVORUKHA, who is with disability after being injured, conducted adaptive football training for a team of veterans and people with disabilities. His own experience helps create a safe and motivating space where everyone can experience the joy of movement and team play.
During the lesson, participants worked on handling techniques, improved mobility on the field and practiced elements of tactical thinking. All exercises were adapted to the individual capabilities of each athlete, which allowed everyone to feel comfortable, supported, and confident.
Such training not only strengthens physical shape. It helps restore faith in own strength, increases psychological resilience and gives a sense of unity – that same mutual shoulder that supports and inspires to overcome life’s challenges. https://univd.edu.ua/uk/news/25673
