A scientific and practical conference "Administrative, legal, sociological and psychological support for the activities of the National Police of Ukraine" was held at Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. The event brought together representatives of the MIA, NPU, the Supreme Court, scientists and international partners.

Rector of KhNUIA Valerii SOKURENKO, welcoming the participants together with Vice-Rector Oleksandr MUZYCHUK, emphasized: "We have gathered to jointly identify effective ways to respond to modern challenges. A scientific approach and practical experience must work together to strengthen the security system of state."

The plenary session was attended by leading scientists, managers and practitioners, including: Director of the Department of Education, Science and Sports of the MIA of Ukraine, Oleksandr TARASENKO, Head of the Department of Psychological Support of the MIA, Andrii KOSTIUK, First Vice-President of the NALS of Ukraine, Oleksandr BANDURKA, Judge of the Supreme Court, Volodymyr BEVZENKO, international partners – Director of International Policing and Public Protection Research Institute of the Higher Education Corporation “Anglia Ruskin University” Samantha LUNDRIGAN (Cambridge, Great Britain), Director of the Psychological Department of the National Guard of Portugal José QUINTELA CARDOSO and National Program Officer of the UNODC Program Office in Ukraine Serhii RUDYI (UN).

The conference participants analyzed the challenges facing the National Police under martial law and emphasized the need for further scientific developments and the implementation of new mechanisms for responding to threats in the field of security and defense.https://univd.edu.ua/uk/news/25684
