Within the framework of the Law Week in Ukraine, a joint session of scientific circles of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology and the Department of Criminal Procedure, Forensics and Expertology of the Educational and Research Institute No. 5 was held. It was conducted by the Heads of the circles - Sssociate Professors of the Departments Yaroslav LANTINOV and Svitlana LOZOVA.
The event was opened by Oksana BRUSAKOVA, Director of the institute. She emphasized that work in scientific circles develops students' professional competencies, forms critical thinking, stimulates creativity, promotes independent research activities and helps to educate future specialists with high scientific potential.
Members of the circles – Mariia VARICHUK, Yevheniia KOZLOVA, Vladyslav KORDON, Daryna KOSHIL, Vitalina HARBUZ and Viktoriia HAVRYLIUK – presented research on relevant topics: guaranteeing the constitutional rights of participants in criminal proceedings during the collection of evidence in cases of war crimes; constitutional propriety of criminal liability for insulting a serviceman; features of taking biological samples for examinations and other important issues.
With the assistance of the Head of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology Mykola PAKHNIN, foreign participants from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań joined the meeting: Bartosz BETKA, who presented a report on the constitutional foundations of Poland's European integration success, and Potr PRZYDZIAL, Chairman of the Student Council of the Faculty of Theology.
Students of the scientific circle of the Department of Criminal Procedure, Forensics and Expertology from Kamianets-Podilskyi together with the Head of the Department Mykhailo SHCHERBAKOVSKYI, as well as scientific and pedagogical staff of both Departments also joined online.https://univd.edu.ua/uk/news/25860
