Every year from November 25 to December 10, Ukraine hosts the international action "16 Days Against Violence", launched after the UN General Assembly declared November 25 the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women on December 7, 1999.

As part of the support of this initiative, at the suggestion of the Director of the Educational and Research Institute No. 5 Oksana BRUSAKOVA, an open lecture "Domestic Violence: How to Recognize, Detect, Prevent?", was held by Professor of the Department of Sociology and Psychology Iryna NECHITAILO.

The speaker paid special attention to the practical aspects of the topic. The present lecturers and students not only got acquainted with the theoretical provisions, but also received effective recommendations on the application of active legislation, rapid response algorithms and tools that will help protect themselves or loved ones from manifestations of domestic violence.https://univd.edu.ua/uk/news/25873
