The Head of the Department combating cybercrime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Serhii Demediuk visited Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs.

Under the Agreement on cooperation the University has constant relations with the Department combating cybercrime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. Representatives of the department combating cybercrime often visit the University and research and teaching staff of the University visit both the central unit of MIA of Ukraine and its regional office in Kharkiv region. Practitioners cybercrime units are the reports of cadets to take part in the sessions, the scientific and practical conferences held at the university, scholars, educators involved in the development of legal instruments in the fight against cybercrime techniques disclosure of certain categories cybercrime, learn from the experience of training for counter cybercrime other countries.

During his visit Serhii Demediuk met the Rector of the University Serhii Husarov. They discussed current developments in combating cybercrime and discussed the possibility of involvement of students, faculty and university staff to perform tasks that must decide today Affairs of Ukraine.

Serhii Demediuk praised the professional level of the graduate faculty training for units combating cybercrime and human trafficking, who are already working at the central office of MIA of Ukraine and territorial divisions, and said that at present the MIA Ukraine lacks experts for investigation of crimes committed through the use of high information technologies.

During the visit, Serhii Demediuk also examined the University, visiting teaching and training facilities, forensic, police station; lecture - hall, amphitheater, courtroom, Gender Center, the "green room", a study of pedagogical skills, Museum of History University sanitary unit and others. He praised the level of training and material-technical base of the university. Much attention is paid work training center to combat cyber crime and cyber monitoring (volunteer) University Project implemented by the students of various academic units of the University, and consultants of ¬- scholars, educators and practitioners of the University of MIA of Ukraine.

Serhii Demediuk made a presentation on current cyber threats that exist in Ukraine, the most common cybercrime and measures taken by the Ministry of Interior of Ukraine to combat crime in this area for the participants of the training center and teaching staff of the Faculty. During the report, he said that the students who in the future will be to fight crime in IT technology, you need to study hard, not only for academic coursework, but also to improve their professional level, to improve foreign language skills, to learn about the latest know- how in information technology from primary sources, share information with each other, interact and help.
