Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs with the support of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Criminological Association of Ukraine hosted the III International Scientific Conference “criminological, Criminal and legal principles of combating corruption”.
The conference was attended by researchers, scholars, educators’ domestic and foreign institutions of higher education, as well as the judiciary and law enforcement.
The conference was opening by the first Vice-Rector of the University, Doctor of Law, Professor Alexander Golovko, who sent greetings to the scientific meetings from the Rector of the University. Serhii Husarov wished fruitful work and inspiration, but also noted that this conference will show that by attracting scientists highly topical issue today combating corruption can be solved much more efficiently.
According to the head of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology faculty training for sub investigation, Doctor of Law, Professor Olexii Lytvynov, discussion of this highly topical theme will be the three vectors. This - the legislative changes implemented and reflected in the Criminal Code of Ukraine; changes were made to the national anti-corruption legislation and related to the creation of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau, as well as changes made to the law of Ukraine "On Prevention Corruption" and finally - the fight against corruption at the level of political power, eliminating corruption risks that the mechanism of government always accompanied.
According to the one of the participants, professor of criminology of Classic PrivateUniversity(. Zaporizhia), Doctor of Law, Professor Olexandr Sainchyn, the phenomenon of the phenomenon of corruption investigated is not sufficient. In this respect he focused in his presentation, focusing on the business areas most affected by corruption schemes.
Assistant of criminal law number 1 of the NationalLawUniversity, Yaroslav the Wise, PhD in Law Krainyk Hrygorii introduced the collection of scientific issues related to the subjects of corruption crimes in Ukraine. "Opening the substantial evidence of a crime of corruption, members of the judiciary will be much easier to work", - said the scientist.
During the conference, participants performed a comprehensive criminal legal and criminological analysis of topical issues existing criminal law on combating corruption in Ukraine and in other countries; studied the theory of criminal law and practice in terms of combating illegal profits and other forms of abuse by officials; discussed prevention outreach in countering corruption.
