The training course for police patrol officers was held in Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs to prepare them as mentors within the Mentor program. Serhii Bortnyk, the first Vice-Rector of KhNUIA, Mykhailo Burdin and Oleksandr Bakumov, Vice-Rectors of the University, participated in organizing and conducting the training. This training course was delivered by Tim Janowick, the Deputy Program Director of the International Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Program (ICITAP) in Ukraine, Ronald Glensor and Steve Pitts, senior Law Enforcement Advisers of ICITAP.
The participants of the training learned the history and compared the different models of internship, which are used all over the world, studied the topics of ethics and dignity in police activity, leaderships and tutorships, worked on educational situations.
After completion of the training, all participants received certificates.
