Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs was attended by the Ambassador of Canada to Ukraine Roman Vashchuk. He was accompanied by the Assistant Ambassador of Canada to Ukraine Irina Lavriv and Advisor for Business Development Commercial Section of the Embassy of Canada in Ukraine Yuri Mardaka. The purpose of the visit – is to get acquainted and to monitor the training process of the candidates to Kharkiv patrol police. The Ambassador met representatives of the University’s administration headed by the Rector Sergiy Gusarov. Mr. Roman Vashchuk attended classes in various disciplines conducted by the trainers, including tactical training classes, examined the educational and training facilities of the University - forensic ground and training police station, audience-amphitheater, outdoor playgrounds, obstacle course, visited the museum, met with students of police training course, and addressed the cadets of the second year of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs.
During the visit the leaders of the University and the Ambassador of Canada to Ukraine discussed the issue of methods and specific training of future police officers, peculiarities of service by patrol units, keeping public order in big cities.
