Cybermetrics Lab has published a transparent ranking of Top Universities by Citations in Top Google Scholar profiles. The results of this ranking are thought to be an indicator of «transparency/openness» in the main ranking of universities among the world from Webometrics – Ranking Web of Universities.

For this university rankings were chosen 210 public author's profiles of each universities and the first 20 profiles were excluded of the list in order to observe representativeness.

More than 3800 universities in the world were included in this ranking, among which 60 Ukrainian, and their citation indicator was higher than 1000. Ukrainian universities have this indicator from 1333 to 103345.

Among educational institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine with specific training conditions Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs was included in the ranking with citation indicator of 13797 and Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs with citation indicator of 4724.
