Guided tours “Kharkiv is a city, where I study”, started for first-year students, these tours were organized with the support of the trade union organization of the university. Tours were supplied by comfortable buses and they were conducted while meeting quarantine requirements. The previously-developed route included the main historical-cultural and architectural monuments and recognized symbols of Kharkiv. During the tour, cadets heard about the main stimulus for development in our city’s history, such as the foundation of Kharkiv collegium and university, railway service, a capital period of the city’s history. Famous people from Kharkiv and persons, closely related to the centre of Slobozhanshchyna, such as H. Donets, I. Sirko, H. Kvytka-Osnovianenko, H. Skovoroda, V. Karazin, I. Mechnikov, H. Khotkevych, L. Landau, L. Hurchenko, L. Malaya and others were mentioned.

They saw new modern objects of the city, such as a fountain at Svobody Square, a reconstructed Real Estate Building in the style of Ukrainian architectural modern, decorative flower and lamp panel “Vyshyvanka” at the University’s hill.
