Proper organization of research in the modern system of higher education is impossible without the formation of the basic knowledge, skills and abilities in the use of international scientometric databases and adherence to the principles of academic integrity and prevention of plagiarism among scientific staff of higher education institutions.

To this end, Konstantin Bugaychuk, the Head of the research laboratory on crime prevention took part in a series of webinars on the peculiarities of working with the scientometric database Web of Science, current issues of modern scientometrics and adherence to the principles of academic integrity in research.
During the webinars, issues related to the selection of scientific publications to the Web of Science Core Collection, the principles of organizing the work with data sets, selection of scientific publications for one’s own research, the mechanism of tracking current scientific papers on certain topics, the principle of ranking scientific publications, as well as to prevent and combat plagiarism were concerned.
The acquired knowledge will be used during scientific study at the research laboratory on combating crime, as well as during the implementation of measures at the university to accredit educational programs.
