The Department of Social and Humanitarian Work of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs conducted an Instruction on compliance with the Rules of the Road and Road Safety for university employees and students who drive vehicles.

The event was attended by Vice-Rector of the University Anatolii Klochko, Associate Professor of Tactical and Special Physical Training Department of the Faculty № 2 Mykola Koteliukh, representatives of Kharkiv Region Patrol Police Department Senior Police Lieutenants Henrykh Marharian and Andrii Sikalenko.

Statistics on the number of road accidents in Ukraine and in particular in the Kharkiv region since January to September 2020 were presented, as well as a detailed analysis of the most common causes of accidents and injuries.

Attendees were shown videos of the accidents and simulated complex and extreme situations that may arise on the road, as well as options for the driver. Patrol police officers also gave the opportunity to test the latest tool that imitates the feeling of the driver in a state of intoxication.
