Museum lectures, dedicated to the period of the National Liberation Movement of the years of 1917-1921, were held in the University’s museum on the Ukrainian Cossack Day. One of the territories where the enemies of the Ukrainian people found stubborn resistance and the best Cossack traditions of protection of peaceful labor, military bravery and self-sacrifice have been revived, was the territory of the Kholodnoyarsk Republic in Cherkasy Region.
The lecture was provided with video materials, reminding about the progress of the struggle of the Ukrainian rebel movement against the invaders, such as German occupiers, “white£ and “red” invaders.
The rebel movement and the Atamans clearly demonstrated the will of Ukrainians for an independent, democratic and equitable future based on their historical traditions. On the other hand, they demonstrated the lack of prospects and shortages of the statelessness, the destructiveness of national discord and internal ideological conflicts.
Honoring the heroes of the past, we also remember those who became the guardians over the free development of a united Ukraine.
