Maryna Fomenko, a lecturer at the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology of Faculty № 1, together with a graduate of the Faculty, who has been working as an investigator of the Shevchenkivsky Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Kharkiv Region since 2014, senior police lieutenant Viktoriia Lysenko conducted a binary lesson for cadets.
Topic - "Criminal offenses against life and health. Problems of differentiation of related components of criminal offenses against life and health of a person in the law enforcement activities of the investigator".
During the lesson, topical issues of distinguishing between premeditated murder and premeditated grievous bodily harm, which caused the death of the victim, were considered; simple premeditated murder and premeditated murder for hooligan motives; problems of qualification of hooliganism combined with violence against the person. Viktoriia Lysenko shared her experience in considering this type of criminal offenses, stressed the peculiarities of their delimitation, gave examples of typical mistakes that investigators face when considering criminal
offenses. The cadets were also acquainted with the latest changes related to the introduction of criminal offenses in the current Criminal Code of Ukraine and, accordingly, the establishment of bodies of inquiry in police departments that investigate criminal offenses. At the end of the lesson, the teacher and the investigator of the Shevchenkivsky PD of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Kharkiv Region answered numerous questions from the cadets.
