Dear cadets! You have taken an extremely responsible step - you have chosen one of the most noble professions – a policeman. During these weeks of training, each of you has fully realized that the work of a law enforcement officer is not just a job, it is a mission, a mission to serve and protect!
Today you are taking another age-old step – you swear allegiance to the Ukrainian people. You swear to serve them and protect every citizen from unlawful encroachments. The words you uttered today in the presence of your commanders, lecturers, for the rest of your life will determine the further direction of your actions and decisions.
It is symbolic that you swear on the very day when three holidays came together: the Day of the Defender of Ukraine, the Day of the Ukrainian Cossacks and the Feast of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin.
I am sure that thanks to you every Ukrainian will feel safe, you will become real defenders of our citizens and will continue the glorious traditions of the Ukrainian Cossacks - sincerity, devotion, dignity, brotherhood. I sincerely wish that the Blessed Virgin Mary envelops you with her veil for life, protecting you from any troubles.
Good health to each of you and the highest achievements on the way of life!
Happy holidays!
Glory to Ukraine!
