Police Officers! Dear friends! Today is a significant event in the life of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. 700 first-year cadets were brought to the Oath of the National
Police. I believe that they will be an example of conscientious service to the Ukrainian people, high moral qualities, officer honor and responsibility.

Dear freshmen! By choosing the profession of a policeman at such a difficult time for the whole country, you have proved that you are worthy citizens of our state, the best representatives of the Ukrainian people. You have passed a difficult way of the young fighter course and today became a part of a glorious cohort of policemen. You must remember for a life that the Oath is not just words. For everyone, who wears shoulder straps, it is a sacred order to protect the Ukrainian people and the Ukrainian land from illegal encroachments.

Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs takes an active part in the process of reforming law enforcement agencies - trains specialists in a new format, educates a cohort of honest, fair police officers, who are ready to break stereotypes, gain respect and trust of the Ukrainian people with their daily dedicated service, courage, decency and professionalism.

Today we face up with new tasks - to raise the organization of the educational process to the level of European standards, to improve the professional level of future police officers, to help them acquire modern knowledge and practical skills in combating crime, public safety and disorder. All this will be done, because Ukrainian people want to have a new police force - qualified, transparent, highly moral and, first of all, responsible to society.

Dear freshmen! The solemn words of the Oath require you to be loyal to the Ukrainian people, to strictly adhere to the Constitution and current legislation, to serve and defend your state.
I am persuaded that you will not betray your choice - the choice of truth, goodness and honor, and the education obtained at Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs will be the basis of your personal success and professional growth.

We live in an extremely difficult time for the country: our people are forced to defend their independence. Defending the territorial integrity, the best Ukrainian sons and daughters are dying. The heroism and love for the Fatherland of our patriotic soldiers will forever go down in the country's history, so be worthy of their memory.
Preserve the good name of the cadet of the Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, increase the fame of our veterans, live up to the expectations of lecturers and commanders, all those who will contribute to your professional training.
