Liudmyla Parfentii, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Social and Economic Disciplines of Sumy Branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs with the participation of Olha Tkachenko, Accountant of Municipal Institution “Sumy Palace of Children and Youth” held the lesson on the discipline “Basics of Economic Security” in videoconference mode for second-year students in full-time form of study in the specialty “Law Enforcement”. The topic of the lesson was “Fraud and selfish abuse using accounting documents as a threat to the economic security of the enterprise: main ways of prevention and detection”. Students were introduced to possible ways of committing fraud and selfish abuse using accounting documents and main ways of prevention and detection. Applicants for higher education were interested in the information about cases of fraud and abuse, that the speaker had to face during many years of experience as a Chief Accountant.
